Mystery image in program monitor panel?
on Apr 12, 2017 at 3:15:59 am

Hello!

I'm pretty new to Premier Pro and I'm having an odd problem. Well, it's odd for me anyway...

I was editing the position of some clips in effect controls panel and then I started having this image pop up in the program monitor. It's a still image from one of my clips. I have no idea why it's popping up, but it happens every time I click on any clip, regardless of where the play head is at the time.

I thought the default behavior of the program window was to show what's going on in the sequence at the current position of the play head? How did I get to this problem? And how do I get back to that default behavior?

Thanks!

I suggest an exorcism ;-)

I like Duke's suggestion of an exorcism. I'd perform it in two steps, first by purging anything you can in PP caches and memory, then completely shutting down your system and turning it back on again.

I figured out the issue. It was the whole "scale to fit" problem. The "mystery image" was an exaggerated zooming in.
