Good morning, everyone - I'm editing a TV episode in Premiere, and the other episodes were done in FCP7. I have to duplicate the titles, but am I missing an option to enter specific font point sizes? The FCP ones are 36pt, 24pt, etc. (Avid utilizes font sizes too), but in re-creating them in PP I only get a "100%" option and then have to shrink them to the size I need. (I had to bring in a QT movie of another episode and super the new ones on top of the old ones to make them match.) Thanks much.
Nope. PP just uses a different numbering system. You found the best work-around, match them to previous graphics and make new presets. Point sizes are actually a carry-over from the print world, the pts numbers have nothing to do with video.
Thanks, Joe - I was also trying to match drop-shadow settings, and the same amount of shadow distance between FCP and PP had greatly different number values (1.5 for FCP vs. 10 for PP); and I also had to translate FCP's "softness" of the shadow into PP's "spread." (I wonder why Adobe had to change the terminology, as "softness" seems very clear.) But it's worked out! I'm very grateful for the reply.
