Cannot edit audio when track volume levels are applied
on Mar 12, 2017 at 10:34:07 pm

Hey all-
Having a real annoying issue with Premiere where I have a track which is the temp score. When i put audio on it everything plays fine, but when I add audio keyframes on the volume level on the TRACK, I can no longer edit the events. I have to create a new track, move it to there, and then re-edit, then copy down the track volume level manually. Very annoying.

Can you not edit a track once you have applied the volume level (and added keyframes)?

thanks
Chapman

UGH, this is really annoying. Happens all the time, is there a setting that can be changed?

Make a "blade cut" while holding the "shift" key.

i see what you mean now. i made audio clip keyframes and then made track keyframes and got the same result you did. as long as i am in the Track Keyframe mode then the audio channel can't be highlighted unless i click off Track Keyframes and go back to Clip Keyframes.

Does anyone know if this is an option that can be turned off?

Irritating that if i include an audio track and even make a base mix keyframe on it to bring it down I then cannot edit anymore from there on the audio track.

A colleague of mine applied keyframes under track keyframes.
He then wants to move the group including the audio clip to a diff point in time.
He can do this but the track keyframes don't follow.
Not sure how he got to this point I avoid using audio keyframing in most NLE.
I use ProTools for things like that.
