Choppy playback with time remapping
on Mar 6, 2017 at 2:36:42 am

Recently I've been having problems while using time remapping (or speed change) in Frame Sampling mode (I'm speeding up the footage by 10%). Once the change of speed is applied the playback becomes choppy. Every couple of frame it 'skips' forward a little bit making it very noticeable. The problem is not only in the output file but also in the timeline, meaning I can see the skips when I scrub the timeline. This makes me think it's has something to do with the algorithm frame sampling uses but I have no idea why since I've never had that problem before.
Frame blending and optical flow render smoothly but results are not as good as with the frame sampling. Has anyone had a similar issue or can suggest what I can do about it?

Thanks a lot!

Don't do this with MP4 video. Transcode the footage to something less processor-intensive like ProRes.
