Convert 50fps to 25fps (shot on RED) ?
on Feb 20, 2017 at 10:24:15 am

Hello,

I need your help concerning my project :

I shot with a RED at 50fps (PAL) and everything is in slowmotion as requested. BUT, I would like to play some of my footages in real speed (25fps) now... And when I double speed in premiere CC, the movement is not totally smooth.

Is there any solution ?

Best regards,

U

[ugo venel] "...when I double speed in premiere CC, the movement is not totally smooth."

...and it won't be, either. You have made your footage display at 25 fps in real time. It's the correct duration and speed, but you now have half the motion you captured originally. Lower frame rates don't display smooth motion. That's just how motion photography works. Get used to it.

I THINK Reelsmart Motion Blur works in PP. I don't know it for a fact. You could use it to give the illusion of smoother motion.
