I have a 2 minute video that will be played at a trade show booth. The client wants it rendered in 8K (7680 x 4320) to display across four 4K monitors. He believes his PC and video card will allow him to position the video to span all monitors, and just wants me to render out a file for him to playback in loop mode.
My questions are:
What is a file format in 8K that can be played on a PC?
Is there a video player utility that I should recommend to the PC client?
BTW, I am using Premiere Pro on a Mac, rendering with Adobe Media Encoder. I don't have a way to render to WMV format, and wonder if the client will be able to playback H.264 or even ProRes files on their PC. I sent them short test files, but they haven't confirmed yet.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I'm heading to a video shoot over the weekend, and need to tackle this first thing when I return on Monday.
You'll probably need to split it in four parts and get a playback system that can show four different files on four different screens and keep them in sync. Then the file specification will be whatever that system can playback.
