We shot with multiple cameras, have imported the entire film into one project. We are working on one primary G drive, however, we have created exact replicas of this drive onto three others, so that we will all be able to access it from our personal computers (that have the same updated premiere)
Two of the drives/ computers cannot open the project. Rather, they can but then it shuts down or all the media won't load. They also usually get three "MXF" low error messages.
The main drive and edit bay doesn't get this, and loads all the media quickly.
Here's what we did yesterday:
Moved all of the media cache and files to the drives, in all the same spot. As well as Preview Project files.
Now here's our main issue, the A CAM, our MXF files, primarily works/ had no issue with import.
But, for the long MXF clips, it appears as a folder on the drive and in premiere rather than a single clip (and within the folder it is duplicates of the same clip)
We know now we should have imported from Media Browser instead.
We have created all of our sequences, synced all the cameras up, created a separate multi cam sequence for every single one. It's over 40 sequences.
What can we do to get rid of the duplicates, import the media browser single file, relink the clips within the sequence to that, and not lose the clips from the timeline/ MC/ where they were synced??
Or is this not possible?? We are also testing just deleting it and re-syncing. I'd really prefer not to do this.... don't know if there's another way.
