alt+shift for replacing footage at same time not working
on Aug 27, 2019 at 1:57:46 pm

I'm replacing low res footage with high res, I'm holding alt+shift while dropping the new clip on top of the low res and it's not keeping the same in points I initially set.

This worked fine until last night, and I did not change any shortcuts or anything else.

Your help is appreciated.

Never used Alt-Shift-Drag, but use Alt-drag to replace clips all the time. It keeps the set in points of the clip I am dragging onto the timeline. If that's what you're looking for. I just tried Alt-Shift-drag and it seems to go to beginning of clip.

Really? Maybe I had it wrong this whole time. I use alt-drag to replace clips and have them keep the scale to fit feature activated, but I always thought that to also maintain the in point the shift keed was required.

I'll check as soon as I have a minute, I'm on a deadline with my current project.

Thanks for your help.
D.

Alt+drag will do what you want.
