Export while working on another timeline
on Jan 31, 2019 at 7:12:57 pm

I used to work in FCP and moved Premiere several years ago. FCP used to have a feature that would allow you to export while you worked on another timeline. That feature was convenient but I did not use it much. Now I could greatly benefit if I could locate a similar capability in Premiere. Any ideas? I seem to remember there was a process for this but I never pursued it.

Sincerely,
Richard Martz

Just click Queue instead of Export now. Adobe Media Encoder opens to do the encode, which can run in the background.

You can also send multiple sequences, or instances of the same sequence, and do them in an AME batch render while you still work.
