Adobe Premiere randomly crashing while playback / scrolling trough timeline
on Oct 21, 2018 at 12:54:28 pm

What's up guys,

I'm currently working on a feature length documentary about Graffiti. My deadline is October 30th and I still have a lot of cutting to do..
The project is stored on two 10TB G-drives of which i'm also editing from.
Pretty much all 18 tb's of footage has been proxy'd to Pro Res 422

Mid project premiere randomly started crashing on me with the usual 'a serious error has occurred' error.

I've looked trough the crash log and everytime the root of the crash is because 'Thread 20 has crashed' see the log here:

Thread 20 Crashed:
0 ??? 0x00000001e8f70ea0 0 + 8203472544
1 com.adobe.dvacore.framework 0x000000010020d41a dvacore::threads::(anonymous namespace)::ThreadedWorkQueue::WorkerMain(boost::shared_ptr const&, boost::shared_ptr const&) + 202
2 com.adobe.dvacore.framework 0x000000010020a52f dvacore::threads::(anonymous namespace)::LaunchThread(std::__1::basic_string const&, boost::function0 const&, dvacore::threads::ThreadPriority, boost::function const&, boost::function const&) + 367
3 com.adobe.boost-threads.framework 0x000000010003f395 boost::(anonymous namespace)::thread_proxy(void*) + 165
4 libsystem_pthread.dylib 0x00007fff50f3a661 _pthread_body + 340
5 libsystem_pthread.dylib 0x00007fff50f3a50d _pthread_start + 377
6 libsystem_pthread.dylib 0x00007fff50f39bf9 thread_start + 13

I have tried a lot of fixes such as;

Changing the renderer to Software only, CUDA & Metal
Clearing all cache files
Changing the video preview from I-frame only MPEG to Prores & unchecking Composite in linear color.
Resetting premiere.

No effects are used yet next to cross dissolves / constant power
I also can't reinstall premiere since I started working on this project on a older version (CC 12.1.1) And i don't want to risk any more troubles.

See my specs here:

The CPU is a Intel i7 8700K, the PC is a custom build Coffee Lake hackintosh.

If anyone could help me out with this problem that'd be awesome, the deadline is creeping up on me and the crash is surely not helping that..

Thanks in advance,
