My mac strips LUT when I import into premiere?
on Oct 17, 2018 at 4:33:59 pm

Hi everyone!
I'm editing Prores 444 footage and I've noticed the LUT my camera guy shot with (Alexa Classic 709) keeps getting stripped and the colors of my shots are desaturated. I cleared my cache and uninstalled and reinstalled Premiere and the footage looks a little brighter but still not as saturated as it should. Does anyone have an idea of whats going on?

Here are some reference photos. The first one is what its supposed to look like, the second one is how it looks now

It’s a nuisnace, but unfortuantely a common problem with Premiere. Best workaround is to disable master clip effects for all clips in the browser. Then for the clips used on the timeline, add the default LUT back in the basic tab of Lumetri. That should stick.
