How can I animate and change the dimension of a rectangle during the video?
on Sep 1, 2018 at 5:21:42 pm

Hey guys, I need to change the location and dimension of a rectangle during the video.

I understand we can use Animation under Video Effects in Effects Control to change the location. I set what the location of the rectangle should be during different points of the video. It works well.

But I don't know how we can change the length or height of the rectangle. I can only change its size using Scale. Is it possible to make the rectangle grow in length or height during the video? Is it possible?

Thanks a lot!
:)

You should be able to scale the x or y dimensions only.

Thanks a lot, Dave. Your reply encouraged me to try again. This time I noticed that there's a checkbox called Uniform Scale under Scale in Effect Controls. I unchecked it and I was able to change only the height, only the width, or both depending on what I wanted. Thanks for your reply again.
