Today I’ve encountered this for the first time, and I can’t get to the bottom of this. I am an offline editor. I got proxy files in .mov container that were transcoded in 50 FPS. The camera files were also in 50 FPS, (it’s alexa mini). So after the offline was done, I made edl & preview, but davinci couldn’t ingest it correctly it didn’t matter if the timeline was 25 nor 50 FPS. So I made an xml, on 50fps timeline but davincis timeline settings were grated out and only 25 FPS was possible. So my question is: on what stage should the 50 to 25fps be applied. Should the camera project be in 25fps to display slo-mo, or during the proxy creation? The third option I thought of: would creating 25fps timeline and setting all the files to 50 % speed and then doing xml would work for davinci to read the meta data correctly?
