MotionVFX and mFlare in Premiere
on Jun 19, 2018 at 4:09:21 pm

Bought mFlare for Premiere a few years ago. i worked well on my older versions of Premiere. Yesterday i wanted to use it again but it didn't work in my CC version 2017.1.2. filed a report to MotionVFX and below is the response.
But it works in After Effects and Final Cut X. Weird.

Hello Jerry,

I'm afraid that, due to low demand and very high support complexity (Adobe seems to mess a LOT of stuff in their updates) we were forced to drop our support for their apps nearly 2 years ago.

If you'll have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Regards,

I open Premiere CC 2015.2 release and MFlare works.
But of course I have to use the 2017 version.
What can be done to resolve this problem.?
Thank you for your help.

On MAC OS X EL CAPITAN 10.11.6
Premiere CC 2017.1.2
I have not used MFlare in a while. So when I used it today it didn’t show up on the background I placed it on.
I am able to go to the edit screen and I can click “show background” and I can see the flare.
But it does not show up on the program monitor.
I can see the Light and Center icons on the program monitor…..but there is no flare.
I noticed you only make MFlare for FCPX.
Has Premiere been dropped.?
Thanks for your help.

Luckily it still works with After Effects and the round-tripping is easy from Premiere and back.
