Duplicate folders created when importing timeline
on May 21, 2018 at 4:00:55 pm

On a number of occasions I've gone to and old version of a project to copy over a timeline I want (usually to restore a timeline, since I cannot get the buggy import from auto-save function to work). Problem is, when I bring over the timeline, it also creates the associated folders and clips that go with it. These are always duplicates of items already in my project, and I can't delete them because Premiere warns me these items are being used in a timeline. I throw them into a folder called "JUNK" but it's still creating an unweildly mess, now when I use "reveal in project," for a clip, half the time it matches back to the versions in the JUNK folder.

How can I get rid of these extra cips and/or stop Premiere from creating them in the first place?

I'm having the same problem and it's adversely affecting my project file size. Any help is much appreciated!
