Audio handles when editing an audio file in Adobe Audition
on Apr 25, 2018 at 11:18:13 pm

Hi all!

I would like to edit some of my audio in Audition, but when I click on "Edit in Audition", the clip is replaced with the Audition one and I can't roll my audio anymore. After some research I found that's it called "Audio handles".

So what I want to do is: edit a clip in Audition, but keep the full audio length.

I hope someone knows a solution for this.

Damian

Remember, you do not have to enter Audition through Premiere Pro. You can open it independently, open and work on your file, and save it with a new unique file name. Then close Audition, hop back into PPro and import your new unique media. Original remains untouched.

Some would say that is a rather old-fashioned way to do things. Perhaps it is. It also works.

System:
Dell Precision T7600 (x2)
Win 7 64-bit
32GB RAM
Adobe CC 2017.1 (as of 8/2017)
256GB SSD system drive
4 internal media drives RAID 5
Typically cutting short form from UHD MP4, HD MP4, and HD P2 MXF.

You can change the length of handles for rendered clips on the Render and Replace dialogue pop up.

Just an easy work around. Thank you.
