VOB>mpeg preview flashes

Just updating earlier post. I combined the vts files in streamclip again, this time with "do not skip any frame" unchecked. It looks better so hopefully it's fixed. Will update if the issue resurfaces.

Certain sections of the preview flash obnoxiously. I deleted the cache for this file, relinked, but am still having issues.
This file is from VTS files (VOB) that were combined in mpeg streamclip and saved out which saves it as mpeg. It doesn't flash like that when viewed in Streamclip.

Admittedly not the best way to work, however, for time I'm hoping to avoid transcoding. But there is a lot of VOB material.

Renaming the VOB files to .mpeg directly previewed and edited smoothly, but was unpredictable as to how much of the video showed in the media browser at any given time. So there appeared to be a timecode issue.

Shortcuts are not the best way to work, but I'm hoping to avoid transcoding unless absolutely necessary.
