As you know, Premiere has the ability to move clips between projects. It's pretty seamless and for the most part has worked pretty well for me. Though, I have one project, which contains ALL my broll for all the jobs and projects I do. It houses alot of clip. Alot. Moving a new clips into one of this project's timelines creates a 5-10 second pause before completing the action, even sometimes causing the program to become momentarily non-responsive. All other projects this process is instant, fast, and easy. I should note that the big project itself is still operating quite well. Editing within it is easy and my system has no problem. It just pauses and lags when I drop a new clip into it from another project. And this is a problem because I will be trying to move alot of "selects" from other projects into this one, and it is taking way too long because of the lag and pausing. Any idea what this might be from?
