Selecting the source footage from the timeline
on Mar 20, 2018 at 12:42:21 pm

When I double click a footage from the sequence timeline, naturally it shows up in the source monitor, but when I edit it, it automatically edits the timeline clip. Of course the workaround is to select the clip, right click to "Reveal in Project" and then double click that clip in the project window.

Is there a way I can access the the original (not the one in the timeline) clip by choosing it from the timeline?

cheers
Dogus

Instead of double clicking on the clip, press F on the keyboard to perform a Match Frame. This works here and i can freely do anything to the clip in the Source without affecting the clip on the Timeline.
