Hi everyone,

(excuse my english, I’m french)

I’m actually assistant editor on a feature film with this configuration :

Camera Alexa, I’m making proxies do edit in Adobe Premiere Pro.
Sound, CANTAR recorder, so I have multitracks (6 or 8 usually) , and mixdown in track 1 and 2.
I receive everyday footage and sound, the sounds folder look like this :

• Card 1 > 20180219.AAD + 20180219.AAX (AAD : track per track / AAX : mixdowns)
• Card 2 > 20180219.AAN (polyphonics files ?)

I want to make sure everything will be fine for sound editor to make sound conformation okay…

To sync video and audio together, what am I suppose to use ? AAN polyphonic files right ?
BUT, the editor wants to work with only premix tracks 1 and 2… how can I do this ?
Click on clip ? Modify ? Audio Channels ? And then Number of AudioClips put 2 ??

If i do that… Will the sound conformation will be able to find original files and other tracks ?

It seems that « Merge Clips » option is making sound metadatas disappear and make confo to Pro Tools impossible.
Some people recommend using « Create Multi Camera Source Sequence » to sync, is it true ?
Will it keep metadatas ? For both image and sound ??

Thanks in advance.
