How to export a project within an existing project

I’m fairly new to premiere pro and was wondering if you can export a part of a selection/selected work area in an existing project into its own new project. Like when exporting media except it goes straight into another new project rather than getting compressed.

Sorry, but no -- there's no feature that does that.

BUT...

There's nothing to stop you from duplicating the project file, renaming it, deleting all the unnecessary stuff and saving it.

How would you do that?

Do you mean the duplicating part, the deleting part, or the being careful not to delete the wrong things part?

Like Dave said, you can open your project and save a copy from the File menu. Open the copy and delete all unnecessary stuff.
Alternatively, you can duplicate the sequence, create a new project, then import that sequence into a new project. But it just brings in the sequence.
I don't know what you have planned, but it sounds like a media management nightmare once you start doing that.

You could also Lasso the section that you want to use, copy it, create a new sequence and paste it into this new sequence.

"MY MEDIA/PROJECT MOTTO: If you think three copies of your Media or Projects are enough. Take a moment to place a value on them and then maybe add two more.
Hard Drives are now stupidly cheap. A RE-SHOOT AND YOUR TIME AREN'T."
