"Many an editor would copy the media and project to a firewire drive and then take the project home or on the road, rather than be chained to the edit suite. Who hasn't done this? You won't be doing this any time soon with Final Cut Pro X."

Well call me crazy but I've been doing just that for the past few days. FCP X has already got enough limitations as it is, no need to add fictional limitations to it. Walter Biscardi's list was pretty accurate but this is one of the limitations that is just downright false. The following are also not true:

no way to customize the organization of the project media
media keeps wanting to copy itself to the local drive

I guess everybody needs to take a breath and actually try the software before make assumptions. The things professionals need to be really worried about are:
-lack of proper import export formats: XML, EDL, OMF, legacy projects,
-lack of proper monitoring solutuons
-no support for legacy plugins
-no multicam
-no proper tape support
-no support for PSD layers
