RAID 0 disk order
on Feb 11, 2011 at 6:27:38 pm

I currently have a 2 bay raid enclosure (datatale).
I have setup my 2 1.5gb HDD to RAID 0.
Will changing the order of the HDD in the bay cause damage to my RAID system?
Cause now I cannot read my RAID and I am not if I have switch the HDDs order.

thanks!

Usually not, but some RAIDs are in fact very sensitive to drive order. For instance, CalDigit RAIDs ship pre-configured, and the hard drives come numbered so they don't accidentally wind up in a different order. Swap the drives as a test for sure...
