Paul,

Since nobody else has chimed in yet....

I would hope that you've called OWC/Macsales by now, you spent good money, they should fully support your efforts to make it work.

that's right Paul -
isn't there someone at OWC that can answer your questions ? Dare I ask, are we saying that companies like Proavio, G-Tech, Sonnet, Maxx Digital, JMR, etc. actually have someone to ASK QUESTIONS on how to use their product, but OWC doesn't ? Tell me it's not so ! Isn't there a support # to simply call and ask them what is best ?

how about this phone # for OWC ?
Tech Support:
800-275-4576

Let me know.

OWC has great tech support as well as videos for the installation of most of their products.
Like this one for the Thunderbay
http://eshop.macsales.com/installvideos/enc_owc_thunderbay4_hdd_m/

And they also have live chat support.

Going between this or the Promise Pegasus2. Which are more reliable?

[Scott Gold] "Going between this or the Promise Pegasus2. Which are more reliable?"

And, while you're at it, how about asking if anyone knows what the meaning of life is... :)

No one in the world can possibly answer your question with any real degree of accuracy Scott - simply assume that because they are both Thunderbolt-2 technology, and that neither requires a controller card, they should be virtually identical, both in terms of performance and reliability, if both use the same hard drives internally. You should ask about the hard drives, then come back and ask again, as the hard drives themselves are much more important than the enclosures themselves in this case.
