Using a Sataboy raid 5 setup, running on a Win 2003 server. Used mainly for file share with high frequency access, small file transaction. The entire raid is split into two equal shares. The write speeds are fairly equal regardless of the share being used. The read speeds differ dramatically between the two. The slower one only living up to 20-30% of the throughput of the other one. Each share has roughly the same amount of space free.
Any ideas what would be causing this bottleneck on only one of the shares and only in one direction. Let me know how I can better explain the situation.
