I was looking at the few utility boxes available for automatically utility raiding hard drives and two things come to mind:
1. Using 2-1/2 inch hard drives instead of the most common 3-1/2 inch ones often will improve performance, or using solid state drives with their utilities, well, wow!
2. How about dropping a pair of tape backup drives in the box instead and setting it to RAID 1 to make 2 simultaneous recordings. Playback checking or restore could use the same setup. (Likewise, RAID 5 etc.). Fred Jodry
