Compiling ffmpeg just to capture single frames
on Aug 16, 2012 at 2:04:34 am

Hi,

For a personal personal project I'm thinking in use ffmpeg to capture, in fixed intervals, single frames from a webcam. As the computer has very few resorces, I was wondering if you guys could help me to compile ffmpef with just enough to do the job.

Any help will be apreciated.

using the help option with the configure script will give you a listing of all the features and options that can be enabled or disabled

Perhaps I am wrong, but if you are on Windows, download de last ffmpeg version from zeranoe, and try this on the command line:
ffmpeg.exe -i "INPUT_FILE -y -f image2 -ss 20 -sameq -t 0.001 -s 126*95 "OUTPUT_NAME.jpg"
