FFmpeg freezes on realtime video transcoding.
on Sep 20, 2011 at 2:03:32 pm

Greetings.

I've hit the problem when FFmpeg freezes when I transcode TS stream.

Here is capture of video stream:
https://rapidshare.com/files/2777395248/capture2.ts

Stream #0.0[0x2c7]: Video: h264, yuv420p, 1920x1080 [PAR 1:1 DAR 16:9], 50 tbr, 90k tbn, 50 tbc
Stream #0.1[0x2db](eng): Audio: mp2, 48000 Hz, stereo, s16, 192 kb/s

Here is how I'm doing it:
ffmpeg -loglevel debug -v 6 -threads 4 -i udp://@239.255.25.13:5501 -force_fps -r 25 -vcodec libx264 -f mpegts -vpre libx264-faster -vb 4000000 -s 1280x720 -an -async 1 -bufsize 134217728 -threads 4 -y "udp://@239.255.30.13:5501?pkt_size=1316&ttl=1"

Approximately at 260 frame it freezes.

I have tried to figure out what is the source of the problem and found that it freezes on decoding.

ffmpeg -loglevel debug -v 6 -threads 4 -i udp://@239.255.25.13:5501 -vcodec rawvideo -f rawvideo -y /dev/null

It also freezes but approximately on 480th frame.

htop tells me that one core is 100% busy (Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5420 @ 2.50GHz). I have tried to adjust rc_init_occupancy and rtbufsize - no effect.

Could someone please tell me, how can I resolve this?

P.S.
