i need to watermark some videos using with FFMPEG.

this is my command line:

ffmpeg -v 9 -i "input\%1.mp4" -vf "movie=straight.png [logo]; [in][logo] overlay=10:main_h-overlay_h-10 [out]" -vcodec dvvideo -s 720x576 -y "output\%1.mp4"

this is the error:

[movie @ 0x4010d20] Missing key or no key/value separator found after key 'logo.

[Kosta smith] "can anyone help?"

Maybe. Which version of FFmpeg are you using?

The syntax of the "movie" filter has changed recently and it looks like you are using the new syntax. The old syntax looks something like "movie=0:png:watermark.png"

[Kosta smith] " i just need to figure out how to compile my own windows version now"

...or try the *old* "movie" filter syntax.
