synchronize problem
on Jan 12, 2011 at 12:37:05 pm

I have a flv file seems have different length of video and audio inside, but it can be played correctly in Mplayer. the file test.flv can be got from here:

https://docs.google.com/leaf?id=0B4FL1ZwF1rkjNjM0YmQ2NjctYjViMi00YjkzLWFiZj...

You can already see that the audio and video are not synchronized in this preview. I tried some command to find the reason:

ffmpeg -i test.flv

I got: Duration: 00:28:53.61
Then I extract the audio stream to a mp3 file

ffmpeg -i test.flv -acodec copy test.mp3
ffmpeg -i test.mp3

The audio file Duration: 00:28:51.24

Obviously the video and audio lengths are different. My question is how can I make them synchronized. I hope I can do that without recoding the video stream.

Have a look into the -async option.
