Use blackdetect or blackframe to delete sections of film during the night.

First, let me say that I have a total of 30 mins of experience actually using ffmpeg. I have been scouring the internet for beginner's tutorials and have been mostly lucky with completing simple conversions. After looking at some of the filters that may be very useful to me, I quickly realized that I am not experienced enough to get the job done without some coaching...

So, I will have many hours of security cam footage (approx 12,000) and I am looking to make a timelapse that will distill the project down into 20 mins. The cameras are recording an ongoing construction project, and their primary function must remain as security cameras.

Since the cameras are recording 24/7, I'd like to exclude the night time footage because no construction occurs at night. Would it be possible to use the blackdetect or blackframe filters to isolate and delete the night sections of the video?
