Pertanent info:
Windows 7 Pro SP/1 - IIS 7 - PHP5 Mysql fastcgi enabled in iis.

Here is the code.

$cmd = "ffmpeg -i test.mp4 test.webm";
if (popen("start /B ". $cmd, "r")) {
echo "conversion is working";
} else {
die("sorry conversion not working");
}

I have iis 7 running and i have php configured and i am pretty sure that this is a permission issue. but what i have no clue. I am not finding logs anywhere.

I get no response or error from iis or php in this script. If i open the command line and run the above $cmd from within the test.mp4 containing folder, it works just fine.

Also for the record the script doesn't make it to the die() either and cmd.exe *32 is hung up in the processes so it looks like it is trying to run but dying.
Please help. :(
