What effects being used?

Hi guys anyone got any ideas on what effects are being used on these 2 clips? both seem to use an blueie mask and im trying to work out what it is http://tinyurl.com/76eavr3
and http://tinyurl.com/85kxlko. The second clip seems to use more of a lighter blue and more of a yellow. Any idea what it may be? Thanks in advance!

Any one of a hundred color grading tools like Magic Bullet, Apple Color or filter sets could have been used to change the color temperature/white balance of the clip to a "cool" (blue) look - just a couple of mouse clicks is all it takes.

The first video looks like a camera with colour balance set on tungsten with the blue coming from badly over-exposed day light balanced monitors behind. There also appears to be a window letting behind day light from behind the camera which is causing the hideous reflection in his glasses that is obscuring his eyes.

If you are looking for ways to achieve creative and radical colour effects look into some tutorials for colour grading in your own NLE. In the end if you want your work to be original and stand out it's better to create your own effects than use a plugin, this doesn't mean you can't use an effect you've seen and like as a starting point.

I think Red Giant's Magic Bullet Quick Looks fits that description but I don't believe Instagram has that capability yet although they say in the future they would like to.

My post was meant kind of tongue in check. My point was that the two clips (especially the second one) looked like cookie cutter looks (Instagram for still photos/Magic Bullet for video) for no reason. The whites are blown out, there is soft blur to everything, Blue and Pink hues everywhere.
In my view, these type of looks have officially crossed over from seeming unique and hip in a viewers mind, to looking uninteresting and copycat. If everyone is doing it, it probably isn't cutting edge, (which in my opinion is what this look is trying to achieve). If you are trying to be unique, this ain't doin it. Sorry for the mini-rant but that is my two-cents.
