A CPL does not seem to work in some situations where I'm tracking a subject and me or my camera's reflection appears. i.e., walking up to a door with glass panes.
i am curious as to how the industry deals with this. I have heard of using tents, lights, or even post-sfx to deal with this problem. What is the best solution for a run and gun dslr shooter?
Try being more off-axis from the glass and practicing to make sure you don't catch yourself in a reflection. It's pretty easy to know where to stand to avoid this in most cases with some practice. And worse case scenario you can always take the most offending frames into Photoshop and content aware paint yourself out.
