Does anyone know vendors in the NYC area that would rent things like the Zacuto and Red Rock kits for a 7D? I wanted to try them out on an upcoming shoot, but don't want to fork over the $K's to purchase.

You may also look at a company like IndiFocus. We opted to buy rigs from them because it was cheaper in the long run over rented gear for our film. I think Red Rock and Zacuto make some better quality rigs but a lot more $

Excellent help, everyone. Hello World looks like it might be the winner, as it offers both a follow focus kit and the Marshall 7" HDMI monitor for a good price. I'll be sure to post the results of the shoot - I'm working with a jazz pianist afterhours in a piano bar on an original piece he's composed. Wanted to break in my 7D in style.
