Hi guys, first of all, let me tell you im a big fan of this website.

Im from Canada and i always refer to creative cow !

Now, my problem is : i bought a rode videomic for my T2i but i know know which dB i should use. I use to shoot in a bar and sound was horrible. Can someone give me a clue about understanding the right dB to use in different situation ?

Also, i dont understand when i should use low pass ... in a heavy bass situation ?

Sorry for my bad english, hope someone can help me out !

Kevin

Turn the High Pass Filter HPF on both sides of the ON-OFF switch ON and make sure you have pushed the connector into the 35mm plug firmly.

It is a great mike.

Is it a loud environment? If so you may need some attenuation. I like -10. You didn't say what was bad about the sound you recorded.
