Weird brightness flicker on background using Nikon D5300

Hello,

I have recorded a couple of basic interviews and I have a brightness flicker in the background and I do not understand why. I do not understand why this is happening and how to stop it. This has happened on all 3 videos I have recorded.

I have created two short snippets to highlight the problem

Flicker1:

Flicker2:

Any advice on how to stop this happening in the future would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for any help

Marc

It's not really background only. That looks like oveall exposure fluctuation. Maybe there was a fluctuating light source out of frame...?
You could try using manual exposure, and making sure auto ISO is off?

It's pretty much a static shot. Get your exposure & focus set, Then turn off the auto iris & auto focus. Boom. Done.
