Tripod / Mounting Suggestion?

Hi guys,

I want to create a video inspired by this video,

does anyone know how they might have got this set up?

Was it mounted to the cealing somehow?

are their any tripods I can rent that will enable me to get this shot?
continously throughout the shoot

thanks

Probably mounted in the ceiling. Any "cooking show" set usually has a fixed camera above the workspace. You could probably do this with a rented jib, but you'd have to be very careful to make sure the lens is on a parallel plane with the work surface or it won't look right.

See an example of how Dave Dugdale solved this problem with a c-stand and extender arm on this video:

Hi, Sam:

This might be of interest to you or someone else who wanders across this thread. I just did a video about the overhead shooting setup I rigged up recently.
