7D streamclip conversion for Vegas
on Dec 17, 2009 at 8:40:44 pm

I'm trying to convert my Canon 7D footage with streamclip, I want to convert to an avi file. When I get to the streamclip parameters box, I'm unsure of the codec to choose from the drop down menu for a windows based Sony Vegas editor. I have chosen DVCPRO ntsc (Canadian) at 100%, is this best quality to choose?

Thanks

Norman

Cineform may be the best solution for Sony Vegas editors with 7D footage. Check out their site: http://www.cineform.com. It will cost you, but not too much. Mpeg Streamclip may be able to do what you need, but I wouldn't transcode 7D footage to the DVCPro codec. Stick with higher quality, full resolution options and you will be much happier in the end.

Good Luck!
