M2T Files?

Is there anyone using CatDV to catalog their M2T files?
What is your workflow?
How are you getting around the fact that CatDV can't read the native file format?

In the past, I've kept them in separate catalogs named with a code that points or refers to the catalog that holds the transcoded media. We normally create main catalogs by "reel" or load ID.

AV1234

AV1234R (for Raw)

Or anything like that will do it. Then you only search and use the catalogs that hold the transcoded media (the AV1234 for instance) and you can always know to just go to the R catalog to get the raw files.

Give ClipWrap a try http://www.divergentmedia.com/clipwrap/features I use it to wrap AVCHD .mts into QT, even brings along TC if the camera supports it. Haven't tried it with m2t but it supports them.

Looks great, but it's for Mac and I am PC...

Thanks for the post, though...
