I've been playing around with Resolve version 16 b2. While wanting to engage with ACES, I've come across a possible bug, but, I'm not knowledgable enough to say definitavely.
To begin with, my "normal" mode is Davinci YRGB color science. I have a LUT I developed for my grading monitor, which I have applied under SETTINGS/COLOR MANAGEMENT/ 3D VIDEO MONITOR LOOKUP TABLE. It provides a small correction to my grading monitor. When I turn on ACES, two things happen. First, both the external monitor and the timeline monitor get very wonky. Second, the SCOPES get very wonky. After struggling around with various settings, I finally realized it was my external monitor LUT that was causing the problems.
I recognize that the LUT is not appropos for the ACES color space; and, a corruption to my external monitor is to be expected. But, the fact that the timeline monitor and the SCOPES are equally corrupted is quite a surprise to me.
