I'm organizing and auto syncing sound on clips on Avid media composer.
When auto sync, Avid creates a subclip. I did a quick test before I start cutting and I exported an AAF and imported into resolve 1. Footage is not there. Of course I have all the footage and sound in the media pool in resolve. I have 2.5k footage and HD pocket cam footage and I export all the footage in DNxHD 8 bit to work on avid and then relink to the good footage on resolve.
I did test an AAF sequence and works great with the same footage named as the original footage but is not picking up the subclips, which are created automatically on Avid when I auto sync sound.
This a documentary for TV, maybe I should install resolve 12 and do it all there but I never used resolve as an editing app. A bit skeptical about it.
