"davinci recording failed with error the video format is not supported"
I get above error message from Davinci 11 when trying to render. Windows 8.1 user
I want to render a 4096x2160 Quicktime Cineform RGB 16BIT. I tried different ssd's etc and this didn't work. It is either crashing straight away or just comes up with the above error message. It never even starts rendering. I also tried only rendering individual clips to no avail.
I tried rendering Quicktime MPEG VIDEO which works fine...
All I am looking to do is export the highest quality render I can possibly get. If that means a different codec other than cineform than so be it. I am a windows user so Proress is obviously not a option.[/b]
My system specs:
5960x 4.0ghz cpu
titan X gpu
and loads of storage drives.
Situation is that: I have 4k h264 footage from the Panasonic GH4. I want to use it in a more editing friendly codec and found "Filmscan 1 / High setting" of Cineform codec gives me a good ratio of file size and quality. I also want to use it in Premiere CC 2015.
And to be frank, I am not familiar with DPX or OpenEXR. If you can explain me, what flavour of these codecs gives me the equality of "Filmscan 1" it would help me!
