Titan X standard candle scores
on Mar 25, 2015 at 12:51:21 am

In case anyone is wondering, these are the standard candle scores I'm getting with one shiny new Titan X GPU (no GUI card):

Hackintosh (built by Iconic Workstations - thanks Cyra!)
6-core 4.0Ghz with 48GB RAM
OSX 10.10.2
Resolve 11
GPU : 1 Titan X (12GB VRAM)

V01 09 blur nodes 24 fps
V02 18 blur nodes 20 fps
V03 30 blur nodes 13 fps
V04 66 blur nodes 06 fps
V05 01 TNR nodes 24 fps
V06 02 TNR nodes 24 fps
V07 03 TNR nodes 13 fps
V08 04 TNR nodes 09 fps

I get about 6fps with Beauty Box and about 7 with Neat Video.

Using the GPU to debayer, I can get about 11fps at full-res premium with 6K footage.

Doesn't exactly blow the doors off my GTX980, but I can now render 4K stuff with TNR, so I am quite pleased...

Depending on the source, your debayer readings could well be CPU bound. We tested and found the new dual 14 core config is prefered for RED, Sony F65 etc images. Almost any modern GPU will be waiting for the single six core to decompress prior to the GPU debayer.

Peter, which CPUs are these? I can't find a Linux build guide listing anything bigger than 10-core Xeons.

The E5-2697v3. These.

Not presently available Amazon Prime because I just ordered the last two that were last night. That's going to make a bit of a dent in the bank account....

F65 requires 28 cores for playback?

Well, I get the exact same numbers running two GTX680 with 1560 CUDA cores.
You have 3000 so it makes sense.
Nothing crazy , i agree, but a nice system to work on.
