Phantom .cine workflow for Resolve

Hello,

I was hoping for some advice regarding working with .cine files in Resolve 10 (full version).

I'll be grading a 2 minute promo / commercial from about 500gb of Phantom .cine rushes. As yet, I haven't loaded them into Resolve, but from what I can see they are fully supported and work for grading on any fast / Blackmagic kitted-out machine...is this correct? Is there anything I should watch out for working with .cine files in Resolve?

The editor has discovered a timecode discrepancy between the EDL from Avid and the .cine files when they are loaded into Resolve apparently, so I will have to eyematch the program...there are not a lot of cuts so this is not too much of a problem.

If anybody had any advice, it's much appreciated!

Penny

PS - I have a slight concern about some of the .cine files which are particularly large (around 18gb). Has anyone experienced problems working with such large .cine files in Davinci?

I would go and make proxy files for editing from resolve and have correct file / reel names and TC.

Other than that it should be fine.

Oh and it probably would help to burn in TC and file name to proxy files
and get back ref file with your del etc.
