Backing resolve projects up

Could anyone tell me if there is any way to back a Resolve project up including all the media used, much like media managing a project in FCP?

Thanks, adam

Not that Media Mangler is all that great to start with...

You can export the project under File... Export Project and include reference stills, etc. but creating a Media folder isn't part of that operation, and not particularly useful, unless you are starting a project with a "dailies" pass prior to an edit lock. There are more efficient ways to consolidate source media given that Resolve is primarily designed to access folders wherever it is directed to draw source media, and then render color-corrected images to a target directory. There is a kind of File Management protocol in its export/delivery interface, but this is not the same as either a Final Cut Media Manage or an AVID Consolidate.

In the case of the dailies workflow... I can't see the advantage of exporting the project at all, since the grades associated with the source media will be irrelevant to the rendered files -- and if you are anticipating a re-conform, then all you need is a ColorTrace, and the media had better be where you left it.

I usually just bring into the media pool the select media which makes it easy to use copy manager to copy media as a backup if needed. For the most part I just backup the project and use edls to retrieve from production drives if the need arises.

If we could trim all the media like RED then it would bee good option.
Specially with the ones that have frames from the camera.
