Mac book pro retina and external monitor

Hi,

I am running resolve 9 lite (for now) and I want to get a calibrated monitor that will work with my Mac book pro (core i7 with 16 gb memory). For now lite is sufficient for my output needs. But I'd like to have the Image display on a calibrated monitor, can I get a pci to thunderbolt adapter, a decklink and a calibrated monitor and have the image on the calibrated monitor, and the control surface on another and maybe scopes on the laptop display? Has anyone achieved this? Will this present any trouble when I upgrade to a full version? Thanks in advance for your feed back

why don't you go with the thunderbolt equipped Ultrastudio cards?

sidenote: why can't I find the Ultrastudio 3D on Blackmagic's site?

Maybe the reason is that 3D is out of fashion ? :D
