cuda needed for full version of Resolve?
on Apr 26, 2013 at 1:16:27 am

Hi All,

Quick question which I kind of can't find an answer for.

I would like to use Resolve's noise reduction in the full version. I only do in-house stuff so my workstation is small and I only want one GPU.

Do I need a Cuda GPU like the GTX680 to use this part of Resolve or does it work equally on a OpenGL card like the Saphire 7950? Any other restrictions to the functionality of Resolve when only one OPenGL card is present (speed excluded of course).

Many thanks for any hints.

Happy editing or CC
Carsten

The NR only works with CUDA.

Keep in mind the build in noise treatment is far from perfect.
It's good enough to compensate for some RED low light situation but can not handle 16mm grain or noise from P2 cameras.
If you wanna spent money , get Neat and any OFX host.
