Conform Alexa 444 project in Final Cut

Working on this feature that for a number of reasons is most
convenient to online/conform using Final Cut Pro.

Raw footage is Prores 444, will export xml to get to Resolve.

Need to retime some of the footage, double the speed.

Is this safe to do in FCP ?

Can I be sure that I dont generate new frames if I adjust to 200% in FCP
and switch off frame blending before I send to Resolve ?

Best is to remove speed effects and then recreate after grading. With the latest versions, speeds usually come across correctly, but not always.

And you do not get speed changes just linear speed adjust.

Ok, my solution was to export aaf files from Avid (with some speed adjust settings),
and then edit the change speed property in Resolve to something that can be
divided by my framerate (25 fps).

Does this make sense ?
