Anybody like Encore CS6 for creating Blu-ray videos?

I am now having to create Blu-ray videos of every live band performance I shoot: 25-35 individual videos, one for each song.
I am finding Toast Titanium very limited on menus. I have been told at the Apple forums that the only good option is to buy Premiere Pro CS6 so I can get Encore CS6. I was told the recommended path is:
Export each song from FCP X as Pro Res 422, use Compressor to convert to H.264, import H.264 into Encore for authoring Blu-ray.

Do you agree that Encore is my best option for more sophisticated menus?

[Michael Holmes] "Anybody like Encore CS6 for creating Blu-ray videos?"

Yes I do.

It also handles subtitles much better than DVD Studio Pro. I also invested quite a bit of time in sorting out that release versions of BluRay disks play more reliably if you render out a .img from Encore and then use Titanium to burn and confirm the physical disks.

Making .m2v stream compressions is also a good idea, not trusting the algorithms used by the authoring applications.

Thanks Joseph!
Great help, I appreciate it...........I have found it very hard to get good advice on the best way to do this......why, I don't know.

Please help me understand the m2v stream compression step.

I was planning to go this route:
FCP X-->Export Pro Res 422 files-->Adobe Media Encoder-->H.264 files-->Encore-->burn Blu-ray disks

I believe you are saying instead I should go:
FCP X-->Export Pro Res 422 files-->Adobe Media Encoder-->H.264 files-->Encore-->.img-->Toast Titanium-->burn Blu-ray disks.

Where would "m2v stream compression" occur?

Micheal seriously ?!?

I too am in the process of making a blu-ray and much appreciated Joseph respond to you.

However, Sescha is right, this is the resolve thread, Cow has a Encore thread for that ... and one of the benefits of asking a question in the right area is that other people can look in the future and learn from your finding.

I asked these questions here because Dwaine, Juan and Joseph have been extremely helpful to me before, and most Resolve users also need to know how to burn Blu-ray disks. I try to ask questions of those whom I can trust to give accurate guidance.

I thought the objective was to help people with useful information. I didn't realize the purists would be offended by any discussions outside of specific Resolve questions.

I'm gone, sorry I offended anyone.

Hey buddy, my advice:

finish your video + audio exact time IN-OUT (FCP, PREMIERE, ETC)

conform a mpg2 file in compressor (video bit rate 27 max!!! no more , and audio separated either ac3 or uncompressed)

feed up the encore, with those files. burn it directly.

files from compressor are by far better than authoring prog. keep in mind the Encore won't reformat or change your video if this is native mpg2 (m2v) from compressor. So the same quality is there. Don't make a H264 file 'cos most blu ray players will drop frames. I guarantee it.
mpg2 will give big fat file with better playback vs h264. I dropped a lot of blu ray disc doing exhaustive test for my short film going to cannes, sundance, etc.

best regards.
